Hello!  My name is Lauren Boisvert and my purpose for this website is to have an online portfolio where I can show all of my artwork in school and some artwork made in my free time.  I am 16 years old and a junior at Mead High School.  Some of my passions include art, working out, nature, and time with the people I care for most.  I enjoy art for many reasons.  I enjoy the stress relief that comes with creating artwork of any kind.  There are so many different types of art and the possibilities are endless.  At a younger age, I would express my feelings through pictures I drew and I found doing so to be very helpful when handling emotions.  My favorite part about creating artwork is seeing the end result on a piece that took a lot of effort and time.  Art isn't just about creating things that are visually pleasing, it's a way to escape from the real world in a very healthy way.  Creativity in my opinion opens up your mind.
